High Performance Academy – Ages 10-16

Orange Lawn Tennis Club High Performance Academy
-  Ages 10-16

Starting June 25, 2012
$395 per week (5 days)

Introducing the OLTC High Performance Tennis Academy training for junior “players” that are ready to enter ranking tournaments.  This program is set up for 12-16 tennis juniors that are starting to enter ranking tournaments, don’t quiet have a ranking yet but are looking to take the next step towards getting there.

Our niche at Orange Lawn is we will have a small but more close knit group of juniors in a program designed to stay that way.  What sets us apart from other junior academies is we offer tennis training on all three surfaces; clay, grass and hard courts that no other program in the Northeast offers.  Experience on each surface combined with our small and more personal group setting will result in the best results possible for your child.  It will not be uncommon to see your son or daughter improve 20-30% percent over the course of each month in our academy.  Every junior in our High Performance Academy will be important to us, improve greatly over the course of the summer and most important, have fun!

The OLTC High Performance Junior Academy at Orange Lawn Tennis Club is geared primarily for regional and national ranked juniors from the Northeast Region. We focus on the ages for 10-16 year olds grouped according to age and ability. The OLTC Academy will focus on taking juniors into our “smaller and more personal” program with a few objectives in mind. One, we evaluate in great detail each players strengths and weaknesses and then focus on how to improve each players game around his or her strengths while working specifically on how to improve their weaknesses. Second, we work with each player in regard to how to systematically develop points including shot selection, finding opponent’s weaknesses and exploiting them and finally what each player must do to improve each week in our academy. We will use the newest and innovative teaching techniques and drills collegiate and professional players used to reach an “elite” playing level. It is not uncommon to see our juniors improve daily if they apply themselves.
What makes the OLTC High Performance Academy different?
Our High Performance Academy focuses on more of a “personal” approach with a maximum academy participation of 16 players per week max. This approach allows our High Performance Teaching Staff greater opportunity to really connect with each student. This approach leads to greater improvement than large academies where your child is just another player. Our “small group” approach also leads to an increased opportunity for our staff to focus on what each player needs to reach the next level and improve each day they attend our academy. Here at OLTC, your child is not just another number.

Facilities:
Our facilities include 20 total courts, ten clay courts and ten championship grass courts. We train primarily on both the clay and grass surfaces but also train on the hard courts within a five minute walk from our club making our High Performance Camp one of the few camps in the United States training players on all three surfaces. Each player will be well rounded on each playing surface leading to better tournament results no matter what surface they are competing on.
