Ladies Tennis Night
Round Robin of doubles and singles for ladies of all ability levels.  The tennis staff will run and mix players in this fun and social yet competitive event.  Come out and join our group of ladies for a great night of tennis held every week.  No sign up is needed, just show up when you can make it and join in.  One of our goals this year is to make Ladies Night a big hit!. Please set Thursday nights aside and plan on participating. (Day changed this year to include all members).

Cardio – Tennis
Cardio Tennis for all levels. Join in on Adam’s specialty cardio tennis with a flare.  Cardio tennis is an exciting activity featuring tennis frills for players of all ability levels, in the ultimate, high energy workout.  Improve your game, get a heart pounding workout and energize yourself to upbeat, high tempo music while getting a great tennis workout.  Cardio tennis will include a warm-up, cardio work-out and finish with a short cool down pause.  If you are looking for a great way to get in shape and to burn calories, you must try Adam’s Cardio Tennis.

Sunday Afternoon Round Robin
Round Robin for all ability levels on Sunday afternoons before “Easy Sunday BBQ.”  Join us for a fun, social yet competitive round robin mixer for men, women and our older junior players.  When possible we will have singles, doubles and mixed doubles for all ability levels.  Scheduled dates will be posted by email during the summer.  Sign up will be required for this event.

Rules of the Game and Tennis Trivia

Throughout the season look for emails containing  interesting “rules of the game” that you might not know as well as fun and surprising tennis trivia questions/ accomplishments of various tennis pros throughout the history of the game.  Test your knowledge once a week with intriguing and interesting  ”rules of the game” as well as other trivia questions designed to increase your knowledge of the game of tennis.  Look for emails weekly from oltcpro@aol.com as well as postings in the breezeway between the pool and courts 1 and 2.  Learn more about the game we all love with our special education emails, “Rules of the game and Tennis Trivia.”

Twilight Tennis

Twilight tennis is a round robin mixer held once a month on a Friday. All members are welcome to come out for this event as a couple or single. We will have a great crowd with all ability levels mixing in for doubles, mixed doubles and even singles. The tennis staff will mix and match all participants to ensure maximum fun and competition. In addition to great tennis, we will have a bar courtside to loosen up our crowd and a courtside BBQ dinner during play. Play starts at 6:00PM but late participants are welcome to participate.  Sign up is required for this event.

HOLIDAY EVENTS

There are several holiday round robin events in the 2009 tennis season. Each event is designed for maximum participation from all members of all ability levels. The Memorial Day and Labor Day Round Robins are designed for crowds of up to eighty players to join in a fun and social atmosphere with no scoring, just good tennis. Each event is special in its own way and every member should save the dates for each event. You will not want to miss out on these events! They are unique and make our club special. Look for sign up sheets by the pro shop and snack bar.

Clinic of the Week

Weekly clinic offered to members.  Program is designed for all ability levels and gender to participate in a specialty doubles or singles clinic followed by structured competition within the participants that week.  Every week we will set this clinic up for a specific ability level and gender with the goal of keeping like ability levels together for the week.  This will allow for maximum improvement and enjoyment for each group of the week.  Each clinic will focus on different strategies, specific shots and formations designed to help each player participating the opportunity to improve in drills and competition.  Depending on the group and week, we will utilize both the grass and Har-tru courts for this event.

This event will rotate each week to include all ability levels and be specific for each group’s tennis needs.  Please look for emails and postings (located in the breezeway) in April that lists the available dates along with our targeted gender and ability levels for each week.  This event is new for 2009 and is designed to include every member’s ability level throughout the season.  Sign up will be required by calling the pro shop at 973-762-8689 or emailing  oltcpro@aol.com .   There will not be a charge to participate in this program.
