Lisa Bobby: Head Tennis Professional
Lisa was born and raised in Clifton, New Jersey. She started playing tennis at a very young age of 6. It seemed like the only option growing up in a tennis family. Lisa’s parents belonged to numerous tennis clubs and were both avid tennis players along with her older sister. Tennis was a way of life from the beginning.

Over the years, Lisa improved her game and before long was competing in regional and national ranking tournaments. By the young age of 14, she was ranked in the top five in the East and also held a national ranking. Upon completing a very successful career in the juniors, Lisa attended the University of Clemson in South Carolina on a full tennis scholarship. There she was a four-time ACC champion as well holding a national doubles ranking of #13 in NCAA Division I tennis. After graduating from Clemson, Lisa played for years on the professional tour from 1982-1990 where she held a world ranking in doubles for numerous years.

After retiring from the tennis tour, Lisa returned to New Jersey to begin her teaching career. She has quite an accomplished teaching career including stints as the Director and Co-owner of the Sports Pavilion in Randolph, the Director of Tennis at the Short Hills Racquets Club in Short Hills and also served as the Director of Tennis at Cedar Hill County Club. She now teaches full time during the winters at West Orange Indoor Tennis Club where she already teaches numerous members from Orange Lawn. She is an excellent instructor as well as a very accomplished tennis player.
